What happens after you write

We answer within one business day. The first conversation is short: what the report is, who prepared it, what it will be used for, and when you need the review back. Nothing is billed for that call, and you are under no obligation after it.

If the file is a fit, you receive a written quote with the scope set out. Accepting it opens a project on the platform, where the report and its supporting documents are submitted, the engagement letter is signed, and every step is visible to you until the final report is released.

Questions people ask first

Do you prepare valuations as well as review them?
No. VALQC only reviews valuation reports prepared by others. Staying out of the preparation is what keeps the review independent, which is the point of having one.
How long does a review take?
Most Calculation and Estimate report reviews are delivered within a few business days of receiving a complete file. Complex and litigation files are scheduled against your own dates, with the timeline confirmed in writing before the work starts.
Will my client know the report was reviewed?
That is your decision. The review is addressed to you and covered by confidentiality; nothing is disclosed to your client or anyone else unless you ask for it.
Do you work in English and French?
Both. Reports are reviewed and the findings are written in whichever of the two the file is in, and the platform itself works in either language.
Where are you located?
Montreal, Quebec. The work is done online, so the reports we review come from across Canada.
